Thanks to our TRS members who have already registered with the MyTRS online member portal!
Here are a few reminders for those about to register:
- TRS implemented identity proofing to protect the security of your confidential member information. This means you must correctly answer questions presented by the third-party ID proofing vendor for MyTRS. Please read the questions very carefully before selecting your answer. You must answer the questions correctly in order to register for MyTRS.
- If you attempt to register multiple times without success, you will temporarily be locked out of the registration process. The system will need to reset your information so that you can try again. In some cases, the third-party ID proofing vendor will be unable to locate your information or is unable to generate questions. This could be caused by a mismatch in information.
- Most members are able to successfully create their account; however, if you’re unable to complete the identity proofing, you will be presented with an alternative method to establish your MyTRS account. The system will request that you fill out a form and return the completed form to TRS along with the appropriate identification. Once the completed form is received, TRS will mail an activation code to your address on record. We understand that this delays the registration process; however, TRS takes seriously our responsibility to protect your confidential information to the fullest.
