Here are six ways a PHG can make your life easier.
1. Have a question and need a quick answer?
Sometimes you can't make a phone call but need help quickly. That's where the chat feature in the BCBSTX App comes in handy. Chat anytime day or night and get your questions answered.

2. Need to find an in-network provider or facility or change your Primary Care Provider (PCP)?
Finding a provider, hospital or facility you can trust with your care shouldn't be hard.
Let a PHG help you:
- navigate Provider Finder® to find a PCP
- compare in-network doctors, hospitals or urgent care facilities
- compare quality ratings for doctors and hospitals
- compare participant reviews
- get out-of-pocket cost estimates for procedures and services
- schedule an appointment with a provider
Did you know?
For imaging services, like mammograms, X-rays, MRIs or CT scans, PHGs will proactively review your health plan to research cost savings for the procedure. They'll reach out to you and share a lower-cost facility option if available.
3. Looking for an Attestation Form, Transition of Care (the movement of a patient from one setting of care to another, or one plan to another) Form or another form?
Sometimes, there are additional forms to fill out and you don't know where to find them or how to start. Call a PHG. They can help you quickly find the right forms, fill them out, and tell you where to send or submit them.
4. Need help with a referral or prior authorization?
PHGs can help you understand when and why you need a referral or a prior authorization. They can help you get both and even schedule appointments.
5. Want to get an estimate, compare costs or get help with a claim or bill?
Do you have a procedure coming up and want an idea of what your out-of-pocket cost will be? Need to know if you'll have a separate facility and provider cost?
