​​Welcome to our dedicated page for updates and information on TRS’ upcoming move to a new headquarters in Austin’s Mueller Community later this spring. Here, you’ll find the latest news and details about your Member Center in central Austin.

  • TRS members will enjoy a professional, supportive and welcoming environment. You'll receive the same important services you already receive today!  
  • Self-service kiosks and a grab-and-go meal vending station will be available.
  • Free covered parking spaces will be available in an easily accessible, TRS-owned garage.
  • Located in the walkable Mueller neighborhood, your new headquarters location offers many amenities including dining options, grocery stores and shops. 

When? Spring 2025

The Member Center at the new headquarters is set to begin serving TRS members and retirees as of Tuesday, May 20, 2025. We’ll make sure that if you have an upcoming counseling appointment, you get to the right location and on time. Business hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon.–Fri. 

What if my scheduled appointment is set for this spring? Where do I go?

Until the Member Center at the new headquarters opens to the public May 20, scheduled in-person counseling and walk-in visits will continue to take place at the current headquarters located at 1000 Red River St. 

TRS' Telephone Counseling Center will remain open throughout the move.

Members who have appointments at the new facility will receive notifications via email, text message, or phone call ahead of their appointment. Notifications will confirm your appointment details, including directions to Austin's Mueller community and the free, covered TRS Garage.

Why Move? A New Chapter in your Pension Fund

Planning for a new campus began a decade ago as TRS’ Red River Street facility neared the end of its 50-year lifespan. Rising renovation and office leasing costs prompted staff to finalize a responsible, forward-looking solution. In 2021, TRS Trustees approved construction of the new campus.
