Claims Data Submission required: Two plan years ending the day before the beginning of the current plan year and current plan year to date and encompass paid claims through Sept. of the current year.

Checklist for Joining Districts
Contact TRS
Contact our team to begin the conversation and discuss your district's options. You can reach us by:
- Calling your TRS-ActiveCare consultant
- Emailing TRS-ActiveCareAdmin@trs.texas.gov
- Submitting a request through the RE Portal
Obtain Board Approval
Your governing board must approve participation in TRS-ActiveCare. Documentation may include:
- A board resolution approving participation, or
- Board meeting minutes documenting approval
Submit Notice of Election
To participate in TRS-ActiveCare, districts must submit required documentation and claims data by the applicable deadlines.

Submit Claims Data
Access Smartsheet to upload claims data:
- Designate the individual(s) who will upload claims data on behalf of the district
- Provide those individuals' contact information to your TRS-ActiveCare consultant
- Receive credentials to access the secure file transfer system (SFTP)
