Non-Standard Work Week Reporting Guidelines

Full time TRS membership-eligible employees regularly scheduled to work fewer than five days per week, for at least two weeks per month, should be reported with the Non-standard Work Week flag set to “Yes” on the ED 40 Contract/Position record. This includes districts operating on a four-day school week. Temporary schedule changes do not require flag updates.

Accurate reporting ensures TRS membership-eligible employees earn service credit in line with TRS Laws and Rules. Read the Importance of Non-Standard Work Week Flag article for additional information.
