Why Scammers Target Older Adults

Older adults are frequent scam targets. According to the FBI, they could be seen as more vulnerable, and since cybercrime often targets victims with realistic and believable scenarios, it can make scams hard to spot. Protect yourself and your loved ones with strong passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication — using more than just a password to log in. Also, stay alert to scams by learning to recognize suspicious emails, calls or messages so you don’t get tricked by fraudsters. It's important to not just stay informed, but to spread the word to protect older adults in your life.
