TRS-ActiveCare Annual Enrollment Season

It’s TRS-ActiveCare Annual Enrollment season! Annual Enrollment takes place from July to August, but each district’s dates will differ. Check with your Benefits Administrator to get information on your specific dates. 

  • Sign up for a virtual webinar about your plan offerings and benefits. From A to Z: Your TRS-ActiveCare Plan is a 45-minute webinar that will go over the different plans available to you, your extra wellness benefits, and money saving tools. Register for a session today.  
     

  • Learn about the coverage online. You can explore your plan details, benefits, and options on our website.

  • Sign up for TRS’ health newsletter, The Pulse. This monthly newsletter has benefit details, health and wellness tips, and updates from TRS-ActiveCare.    

  • Save the number for Personal Health Guides (PHGs) in your phone. A PHG is your 24/7 customer support. They can answer billing questions, help you find providers, get you cost-estimates – anything TRS-ActiveCare! Their number is 1-866-355-5999. Learn more about PHGs.   

  • Download the BCBSTX app. You can review your spending, claims, and status of authorizations and referrals. The app also offers another way to reach out to PHGs through a chat function.   

  • Check out BCBSTX’s “How To” video series! These are short videos that give you how-tos for different aspects of TRS-ActiveCare.

What’s New 

  • TRS-ActiveCare Primary and Primary+ will no longer require referrals for dermatologists, physical therapy, and eye exams 

  • Airrosti musculoskeletal benefits are now available! At no extra cost to you, you can get virtual help with keeping your muscles, joints, and spine in tip-top shape. If you experience lower back pain, this benefit is a must to use!  

  • Expanded Member Rewards for using providers designated as top-performing. This also now applies to PCPs and certain specialists.  

If you’re satisfied with your current TRS-ActiveCare plan, you don’t need to take any action this summer. However, we always recommend evaluating if your health care needs have changed and if another plan would better fit.
