Satisfaction Surveys

Each year, the TRS Member and Reporting Employer Satisfaction Surveys offer valuable insights into the needs and experiences of our active members, retirees, and reporting employers. These data-driven findings guide strategic improvements that strengthen TRS’ long-term stability, operational efficiency, and the delivery of member benefits.

Member Satisfaction Surveys

Based on the 2024 Member Satisfaction Survey (MSS), TRS implemented the following:

  • Email blasts that provide valuable information to new TRS members
  • Webinar series that focus on small, bite sized pieces of information regarding Pension Benefits
  • A redesigned TRS website at www.trs.texas.gov that includes more step-by-step information, streamlined navigation, and enhanced search
  • A to Z participant webinars to help members make informed decisions about which TRS-ActiveCare health plan is best suited for their needs

Reporting Employer Satisfaction Surveys

Based on the 2024 Reporting Employer Satisfaction Survey (RESS), TRS implemented the following:

  • Maintained RE Coach response time of one business day
  • Published an updated and enhanced TRS Payroll Manual
  • Created a separate Higher Education RE skill in the interactive voice response (IVR) to ensure calls from Higher Education employers are routed to a senior RE Coach
  • Continue to develop enhanced, modular, topic-based trainings
