Take the Step, Keep Your TRS Account Secure
Bad actors can be found anywhere. Whether they attempt to lure you in through the internet, impersonate a trusted source or compromise your information online, it's important to always be extra vigilant. Watch your accounts for suspicious actions. And if you have not already, claim your MyTRS account so a bad actor does not create one for you. Please contact TRS to report suspicious activity.

Golden Years. Golden Medals.
When 96-year-old TRS retiree Lee Wheeler became a father many decades ago, he decided to get healthy. He began running and competing in marathons. Later, his doctor recommended he switch to cycling. Mr. Wheeler went on to ride competitively across the nation and world. He says his TRS pension affords him the opportunity to focus on fitness in his golden years. Hear his story in the latest episode of TRS Talks.

Beware of Deepfakes
Have you ever seen a video or heard audio that seemed slightly off? Deepfakes use artificial intelligence to create fake, yet realistic, audio and video. How can you identify these sophisticated scams?
Look for unnatural eye movements or facial expressions, lip-sync mismatches, inconsistent lighting and shadows, and robotic speech patterns. If you suspect a deepfake, report it immediately. Always verify information through trusted channels and double-check requests, especially those asking for sensitive information.
