TRS to Soon Issue One-Time Stipends to Eligible Retirees

“Our TRS teams have been hard at work and will begin issuing the legislatively-approved one-time stipend payments to eligible annuitants in mid to late September.” Watch this important update from TRS Executive Director Brian Guthrie. New TRS-ActiveCare Plan Year

If you’re enrolled in TRS-ActiveCare, a new plan year kicks off on Sept. 1! Make sure you use your benefits to the fullest – benefits like fitness programs, wellness coaching and $0 mental health visits. Start the year off by knowing everything included in your plan and checking off items on the TRS-ActiveCare checklist.

Your Annuity Pay Dates

If you receive a monthly annuity from TRS, we’ve published the new FY 2024 Annuity Payment Schedule just for you! TRS annuity payments are issued on the last business day of each month. You can refer to the calendar anytime to stay in the know about when your monthly payment will be mailed or deposited. You can also keep it handy by downloading and printing a copy.

And, remember, you can use MyTRS to sign up for direct deposit (if you have not already done so) and manage your information.

TRS Talks: Students Sing Grammy Winner’s Praises

In our newest TRS Talks video, we traveled to DeSoto High School to capture a behind-the-scenes look at Pamela Dawson. Before taking home the 2023 Grammy Educator of The Year Award, Dawson spent many years teaching music in public schools. As this Texas teacher continues to touch young lives and hearts, she also looks forward to her next chapter as a TRS retiree.
