TRS-ActiveCare Member Rewards

You already know the importance of regular women’s health screenings, right? 

You probably also know how important your cervical health is at every stage, from fertility to childbirth to menopause.

And you know your well-woman exam and health screenings are especially crucial for protecting you against cervical cancer throughout your life.

But did you know you can keep up with your cervical health while earning rewards? It’s all part of Member Rewards, a key program included in your TRS-ActiveCare plan. 

The information below is just one example of how you can use Member Rewards. Many services are covered for all ages and genders! 

You can use Member Rewards for women’s health screenings

You may have used Member Rewards to save money and earn rewards on things like x-rays, CT scans, mammograms and colonoscopies. But you can also earn a reward by using Member Rewards for your well-woman exam. Imagine getting rewarded for a visit you were going to have anyway – one that’s already covered at 100%! 

Here’s how to get started:

1. Go to the TRS-ActiveCare website, click on the Doctors and Hospitals tab and select your plan in the Provider Finder section. 

2. Next, log in with your Blue Access for Members^SM account. If you don’t have a BAM^SM account, there’s an option to create one. 

3. Click on the Member Rewards tile. 

4. Click on All Rewarded Specialties.

5. Choose Obstetrics and Gynecology under Specialists.

6. Look for an OBGYN with a Top Performing Physician badge. These are providers who are highly rated for quality, cost-efficient care and appropriate treatment plans.

7. Once you’ve made a selection, schedule an appointment and get your screening. You DON’T need a referral from your PCP for an OBGYN.

How do I get rewarded?

Your reward will be deposited into a Health Care Account after you complete your Member Rewards-eligible procedure and BCBSTX pays your claim and verifies its eligibility. 

• If you have TRS-ActiveCare Primary, TRS-ActiveCare Primary+ or TRS-ActiveCare 2, you can use the reward that’s deposited into your health care account for future copays, coinsurance and other medical expenses. 

• If you have TRS-ActiveCare HD, you can use the reward that’s deposited into your health care account for incurred dental and vision expenses. 

  • Once expenses are incurred, fill out a health care account reimbursement form found at www.bcbstx.com/trsactivecare. 

Rewards vary depending on the service and facility. The typical reward for an OBGYN visit is $50.
